1. Name, Age - Sam Hill, 25

2. Born and raised? Where do you live now? - born and raised in Glen Forrest, Western Australia. Currently living in Gidgegannup, Western Australia

3. Why do you live there? - Cause it's the best place in the world

4. Tell me about the vision you and Clay had for your section. - We both just wanted to try film tracks that were a little faster than the usual stuff, we were both looking for nice dusty tracks that blow the corners up when you hit them and throw roost everywhere.

5. We're you guys successful in achieving that vision? - I think we were both pretty happy, we still have ideas that were not achieved, but we can work on that next time.

6. Tell us about renting a helicopter and shooting from it. - Yeah we have wanted to do that for ages and got the opportunity, i think it was awesome and turned out really cool. it was just a rush trying to do as many runs as possible in a very short time.

7. Tell us a memorable story from the week of shooting? - Probably driving back from a mx race 4 hours away at 1am and Jon and Clay running out of petrol. it was a mission to get home but we ended up making it, just took an extra 2 hours.

8. How important is it that you shoot with filmers that your comfortable with. - yeah it makes a big difference and also when you trust what they are doing it makes you more enthusiastic to get cool stuff.

9. With web videos being everywhere these days, tell me about how important it is for you to have a film project to focus like 3 Minute Gaps. - Yeah at world cups there are 4 or 5 guys all filming the same stuff and it gets a bit boring. When you go film 1 on 1 like we did for 3 Minute Gaps they are the only ones filming so i think they get cooler stuff and you get your own section in the film instead of just random people all over the place.

10. What's next for you and Clay Porter? - Probably a cold Monster in South Africa

11. What are your goals for the 2011 World Cup Season? - I want to win

I love it, to hear Hill speak it's hard to believe he's one of the fastest riders on the planet, someone who can be so totally focussed and in the zone etc. Whereas he comes across like he's just done a few bongs & doesn't give a shit!

well I think he doesn't give a shit about lots of stuff, that "the industry" makes forum people and racer wannabies believe it's worth to kill for... he unlike many others seem to have his own thing going on in his head and he managed to make it work. Now it's just magic for the rest, while so many brag about every single line on the course.

And I have nothing to his way of speaking. Some speak great and have paychecks and talk a lot about riding with bad results, then there are others who ride so much and have no time for other things. The worst are fkn, never fulfilled wannabies or counterproductive sh*t spreading redneck bums. I chose my lifestyle and I'm fine with it, I woudn't dare to go his way even If i had a chance and was allowed to. But he is the way he is because he devoted himself to do what he do, and he's damn good at it. Not everybody has to be medial, we are all told from everywhere to be like fkn phonies: "can I take you a while, this product is excellent, tayor made for you solution, have a nice day sir". Some marketing basterds and salesman should be offended on regular basis for spreading this pish to the world. F-Off is always the answer. Hill is damn great all the way he is Wink

The whole point of these teasers is to BUILD HYPE! Sure, Clay can label a movie under his name and most people in the industry will get interested. I'd buy it regardless, but the thing is, this keeps showing everyone just how amazing this movie will be.
I'm 100% convinced, this is going to be something completely different for our sport.

Not only that, but chances are, Clay has already edited and compiled about 90% of the movie already, he's at the top of his game, he knows what to do. This is all part of his releases.

I'm not challenging clay porter, I'm no movie maker. and I'll likely buy this as it looks sick, and being an ex-racer really dig the way racers ride when not racing, it's impressive to watch. I do think that this won't be the generic movie in anyway.

I'm sure he knows what to do, and a fair portion of the hype is already there based on whose in it, and the production team. it already had my attention... I just want to see the actual movie... where I live, it's 120degrees f near the release date, so it's the end of my season when this comes out.

I wasn't 100% into Life Cycles to be honest. It was a good movie and the editing and riding was amazing. I also really like the music. But It didn't have QUITE enough biking in it to keep me interested...and I found that bit annoying. It needed to show more riding! I wouldn't watch it to make me want to ride. Rather watch Follow Me.

I thought they both kinda sucked, Earthed is the way forward....Life Cycles is basically one manual out of a berm after another, zero gnar. Follow Me was one jump after another, it almost redeemed itself with the sick Gee an Stevie section in NZ...but overall I barely saw a tree root in either....don't get me wrong, amazing cinematography etc, but over produced....

im a bit gutted i shelled out for life cycles but 3min gaps looks really amazing so far!
and life cycles is "a movie about a bike, not a bike movie" designed to please more than just mtb riders...
my parents enjoyed it... but I just felt like time went backwards while watching it..
